Try These on for Size

We all know Google has changed the way our world “does” technology.  Just the fact that people have turned the word “Google” into a verb as in “I don’t know, Google it”, is a major testament to how it has truly shifted our culture. But I learned something the other night about Google while playing with my new cell phone that will radically change how we learn about the things we see every day.  Google labs has launched the beta version of Google Goggles. According to Google, this technology “lets you use pictures taken with your mobile phone to search……

Working with the "In" Crowd

Approaching mid-year, it is a good time to reflect on what has happened to make the first several months of the year move at light-speed. I’m an Air Force brat and darn proud of it.  Maybe your mom or dad was also in the armed forces.  Or maybe a sibling, child, or friend served.  But I’m willing to wage my hard-earned paycheck that your life has been touched by a veteran.  Moore Consulting Group and our 10 in 2010 partners, the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce and Tallahassee Democrat, were honored to host the Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs (FDVA) as our May 10 in 2010 participant.  We offer 10 in 2010 as a pro bono outreach program to businesses, organizations and agencies in the……

Sterling Performance

When the Governor and Florida Sterling Council last week announced the 2010 Governor’s Sterling Award recipients, the healthcare industry was excited to learn they had swept the awards. Never before have all recipients of this coveted    recognition hailed from one industry. While America has been transfixed with the health reform battle, several Florida hospitals were focused on their own challenge in a battle for the highest honor a Florida organization can receive. Florida Hospital (Orlando), James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital and Clinics (Tampa) and South Miami Hospital all engaged in a significant effort to do it better. And these……
