For as long as television has been part of American life, it has been an inherently social activity. Tweeting from the Womb

Baby Maddox had a Twitter following, and even his own Twitter account, before he ever entered this world kicking and screaming. In the months that he was “In Utero,” his mom Rachel built up a community of friends and even sort-of-strangers who affectionately followed her pregnancy updates and offered advice on everything from creating a baby registry to buying maternity clothes and picking the right car seat. We knew when her hunger kicked in and had her eating lunch before 11 am. Monthly Twitter pics were beautiful updates of her growing belly. Before long, the hashtags were born: #babytalk, #maddox……
