Is your business ready for the H1N1 crisis?
by Karen Moore on May 01, 2009If your business is like most, the employee discussion around the water cooler today is probably about the H1N1 or “swine flu” epidemic. So are you ready to deal with the issue if it should appear in your community or business? I believe every company should have an internal crisis communication plan. A recent Ragan survey found that 38 percent of 314 communicators polled didn’t use a crisis communications plan to speak with employees and the public about swine flu. For many, they just did not know what to say. So, if you are not sure what to say……
Mul*ti*task*ing
by Fernando Rodriguez on July 15, 2009Merriam-Webster defines multitasking as the performance of multiple tasks at one time. I like to define it as the ability to encounter a challenge and have a successful outcome. 10 in 2010
by Terrie Ard on January 13, 2010Near the door above the light switch in my office is a sign that simply reads, “Believe.” This sign is a reminder each day as I leave my office to focus on the positive and have faith that what I set my mind to can be achieved. by Liz Giroux on March 09, 2010On a recent visit to local catering company TasteBudz, MCG’s first 10 in 2010 participant, I had the chance to catch up with Judy, TasteBudz owner and chef extraordinaire, on everything she and her team have been working on since their session back in January. Judy and I have been working together on designing her new e-newsletter, so I already knew how eager she was to start implementing tactics from her communications plan. What I did not know, however, was just how fast she hit the ground running! Over a big plate of Mexican lasagna, a peachy bean pot, quinoa……
Bringing it each day at MCG
by Terrie Ard on March 31, 2010This week, as our leadership team conducted its quarterly strategic planning meeting to review and discuss our goals for the firm, many important thoughts came to mind on where we are and where we are going—as a team and as a firm. From ensuring job satisfaction for employees to providing the greatest resources to measure results for our clients, the goals and objectives are strategic and laser-focused. The overriding element of our strategic planning process is the appreciation that our greatest asset at MCG is our team. We often talk about our impressive team during business development pitches. We outline……
